This heart is aching to be loved
To be loved by your love
This heart is a glass heart
It's easily shattered by words
Once I finally put it back together
It gets shattered once again
This heart is like an empty sky at night
It has no love to light it up
All it has is darkness, waiting for love to break the dark
This heart is hurting to see the light once again
All it wants is to love and be loved
This heart isn't like any other heart
It's a special kind of heart that finds joy even in sorrow
This heart can lift me up and make me smile
Not only is this heart just a heart
But it's a shelter for me to hide in, to hide from love

Heart as an empty night sky (how is love like stars or moon? Joy, life, etc.?)
and heart as a shelter to hide from love --
these are interesting ideas; I'd love to read more abou them. |
