He sits by himself at a table for two, Dad after day he just sits and waits. The waiter asks if he would like to order, But the man say 'No thank you I will wait for her.' The waiter wonders why this gentleman sits and waits for this girl to come. She has stood him up, Time and time again, But every day he returns only to be disappointed again. One day the waiter asks why he sits and waits, The man answered 'because she needs me.' It doesnt seem like she needs you, was all the waiter said, I know the man whispered quietly the light gone from his eyes, But someday she will come, and I will be there. Then the man got up and walked away, but before he left, He made a reservation for tomorrow for a table for two.
As the man walks home Katie turns off the light, And then sees a note that says Spend time praying at 7:00. She had been out all night with her friends and it had slipped her mind, But she thought oh well as she felt a pang of guilt but pushed it aside, Anyway she can pray tomorrow night, She is sure Jesus wont mind.
