Compound the daily average
I decided not to participate
I'll pay for it later, I always do
It's all just scrambled eggs and toast.
Believe the believers and dream keepers
they have all the answers
or the best sounding.
Follow your heartbeat with a drumbeat
moving with fast feet.
That will keep you present
pretending is almost better than the real thing
Oh, and one more thing
change your facial features
they're screaming their "**** yous" all too clearly
It's a one way ticket to "Are you okay?"
And hey,
if you spend all of your time pretending
you'll forget you're not
just another tip from one of the lost.
