Growing up
isn't so simple
in a world like ours
so cruel and cold
It starts as a baby
People take care of you here
but you had no choice
to be in this place
Next comes toddler
You're starting to learn
that life has it's troubles
and you dont want them
You're now a kid
The greatest part in life
Boys have cooties, skinned knees are cool
But things aren't always so fair
The teenage years
So much drama, so much hate
You start to leave your parents
Everything starts to change
Now you're an adult
You realize things aren't so cheap
Parenthood, Marriage
so many responsibilities
Finally you're and elder
Again people take care of you
Yet, what do you have to live for now?
You'll be in your grave soon.
Someday we all hope
to change from a caterpillar
into a beautiful butterfly
We just need to get through
all the obstacles in life
and we'll soon all be
flying around gracefully.
