Never Alone.

NEVER ALONE(Peter Sprenkeler)
Prayer is communicationdialogue with a higher power,
Supplication and requestwhen times and needs are dire.
Sadly it is not always the first thing to which we turn,
When circumstance transforms lifeinto pain and endless mire.
Prayer seems to be the last resort for most,
We tend to 'lean on our own understanding'.
It is only when we admit that matters are beyond our control,
That we come to God in desperationand start demanding.
We expect and presume that God will take control,
And rectify the things that we need repaired.
But prayer really is a contrite statement of faith,
It is where before Godour souls and hearts are bared.
Prayer is earnesta polite and gentle heartfelt request,
A request filled with the suretythat the Lord will hear.
A request that one feels is full of merit and righteousness,
A request importantthat in your heart you hold so dear.
God will not listen to aggressive demands,
He has an ear for the humble and contrite.
He is in fact your Maker and your Savior,
The least you can do is be respectful and polite.
Prayer is a direct and positive line of interaction,
Where a believer can come and air his concerns.
It is the fact that you come in faith in your Lord,
That commendation from God you would earn.
Prayer is privateit is just you and Him,
You may bring forth all that concerns your heart.
And when those times come when you feel so cold and alone,
Please realize in warmththat from Him you are never apart.
Prayer also importantly is the place to give thanks,
And just to say "hi Lord I love you so".
"I thank you so much for laying down your life for me",
"I am thankful that you are with me wherever I go".
You are never alonecompany just a soft breath away,
A friend who will breath life into a flagging heart.
A confidant who will share the load of your deepest and most secret pain,
A soul-mate who from you and your lifewill nevernever depart.
