With what will I measure the substance of life?
Have I cause, deemed worthy or right?
All that I am will be a memory of time,
I leave my mark of unseen signs.
Hope that I may have made a difference,
Preserved the peace or spared some innocence.
Worried that I will fall short in the end,
Regret what was undone way back when.
I had a choice to render change,
I faltered in my effort with no one to blame.
Death is my counsel, left a humble man,
I battle till the end living the best I can.
