Into the temples door I go
What is next I do not know
For I am just Lyscia the meek
I am now taking on a great feat
Here there is no one left behind
I am alone in this I must remind
On through the corridors I roam
Looking for the answers to save my home
Fear beats hard and fast within my breast
I want to run but guilt would not let me rest
Farther within the structure I go
To where only the Priest and Prophets know
How this trial is to be
And what is expected of me
Finally I reach the golden door
If I enter I may exist no more
Hard it is for me to move
But I must strong prove
At last the door starts to budge
Leaving on the floor a nasty smudge
It is dark this narrow path
No light and dusty I want a bath
But go on I now must
I will not betray my peoples trust
Strong is what you will read of me
In the book
Of
Life

| I applaud your confidence. This is well written and the subject matter touches my heart. I am glad you made reference to entering and existing no more. This is true on many levels. Great Job on an ambitious tale. |
