ALWAYS A NEED TO CRY(Peter Sprenkeler)

Tears come with grieftears come with joy,
Tears come in birthand again when people die.
Through every imaginable facet of this complex life,
There is always the need to cry.
Tears come with losstears come when life is found,
Tears come with injurytears come when pain does reason deny.
Through every imaginable emotional high and low,
There is always the need to cry.
Tears come to healtears come to wash,
Tears come to comforttears come for injustice to defy.
Through every imaginable human trauma and ecstasy,
There is always the need to cry.
Tears come as a signtears leave a profound message,
Tears in any tongueno language barriers do they defy.
Throughout every possible society and race,
There is always the need to cry.
Tears moisten arid heartstears make barren souls bloom,
Tears are rivers of hopetears are streams of lifeand testify.
Throughout this worldno matter who you areor your circumstance,
There is always the need to cry.
Tears will surely cometears may take years to go,
Tears will dampentears will eventually dry.
It is important to reflect on the wonder of tearsand remember well,
There is always the need to cry.
Tears are saltytears are indeed a preservative,
Tears are healthytears show that hearts still beat and try.
And as long as that organ still pumps with a drop of love and compassion,
There is always the need to cry.

I cried much on 11/9/2001for your people
I cried much on 12/10/2002for my people
I cry much all the time for all people.

This is a beautiful poem. I absolutely love the sentiment behind it. Fantastically written!
