It's time to put our heads together And think of the lies that we'll say to each other Inventing feelings I never had for you It's come to the point when we can tell in each other's eyes
We'll live lives of lies we belong to I'll sing, if you lead the choir They'll think I wrote this song But don't call me a liar We wrote it from the desire we once had
You know as well as I do that this couldn't get any worse When each verse is led by tears that you should have cried a long time ago But please nurse, please tell her before I die That I know
I've always known
I just never had the guts to say it
