Trapped in a cell created by my own mind
I crumbled and cried like a small child
wondering if i will ever get over the time
when life was simple and love was mine
Tortured and tormented by my emotions of love and hate
I prayed to God to give me back my times of great
I asked Him to forgive me of all my sins
so that I could be with Him in the end
His spirit came down upon me and caressed my soul
He picked me up and brought be back
I turned away from my old life and tried to move on
but still I stumbled and fell back
I pray each day for Him to help me
for Him to touch my life once again
I want to always with Him be and be free
and never look to the things that once were
Please God help me to get back up
I ask You to help me thru it all
Never leave me, comfort my soul
Touch my life and keep me standing tall
Be with my friends and family thru their times
Touch the lives of those that need Your grace
I am grateful for You, for coming to save me
and being with me thru each hard, and dark day
Never leave me, but keep to me near
Touching me and helping me thru my own personal hell
Help me to get rid of all my fear
I will always be true to You and never fail
Thank you, Oh, God, for your precious Son
Thank you for your grace and the things that You have done
Thank you for giving me a new life to look forward to
Thank you, Oh, God, for making me new
Thank you, Oh, God, for helping me
Thank you, Oh, God, for without You I would never be.

We all fail time and time again--I just am soooo thankful for my Heavenly Father that is there to help me stand once again!
