I am often left alone with my thoughts,
these thoughts that keep me alone.
My life revolves around my heart
and my heart aches for an emotion
of long ago.
I touched you for a subtle glance
that you returned in a smile.
You looked into my eyes
and you felt my emotions scorned.
You bruised where others had been inflicted,
yet,
still you smiled.
A man charged of a
trangression against another
is asked how he pleads.
Does it matter what his plea is
even if he is guilty.
I no longer pretend to know
but I am offering my plea of guilty
since my silence was never heard.
