Lost somewhere
Between nowhere and you
Close my eyes
And count to five
Then backwards
A million times
Till the answer is no nearer
No clearer
And you avoid the questions
Like bullets
Loaded words
That might tie you to truths
You seem
Never to be ready for
So I spin through time
Counting the years
As they pass me by.
