How I wish that I could fly
To flap my wings and hit the sky
To see the world, to travel far
To float in air like a star.
Try and imagine how life would be
To go where you like and travel free
To view the country, to see the sights
To fly in darkness and see the lights.
To just take off and go anywhere
To fly around without a care
No more waiting to catch a bus
No more traffic queues, no more fuss.
To glide through a cloud drifting by
To sit on a tree top way up high
To watch the world spinning slowly around
To not have my feet touch the ground.
Oh! how I wish I could fly
To domineer the big blue sky
I've dream't my wish and actually flew
If only my dream was really true.
