A summer scene was waiting In Gods garden in the sky Take comfort he's at peace now There's no need for you to cry.
He is where he had hoped to be In God's truly precious land He had waited for his calling For when the Lord held out his hand.
At peace he fights no battles there is no more need for him to fight His soul forever living on In our memeories held so tight.
So wipe your eyes, dry up those tears It's time for us to celebrate Never gone, he found his path awaits To guide him through the heavenly gates.

You know i've tried for a long time to write something in memory of my father .
I've written a few but it never seems to come out right, as a result of not getting a result! i can really identify with this piece.
Thanks for sharing.

| Reminds me of a current song/poem that is popular now, "When I Get To Where I'm Going" they'll be only happy tears". Your dad's there. Great work! |
