I lay down my head and close my eyes
thinkin' im ok.
knowing soon its over
Ive lived through another day.
but I breath my sigh of relief too soon
as I drift further into sleep
for now is when my worst nightmares
in my head begin to creep

every goddamn night
I keep tryin to forget you
but I just cant win the fight
and though it might be easier
if the dreams were soft and sweet
all thier ever filled with is
more heartbreak and deceit

how is it so that every night

why cant you just give me some time
some time to heal, to mend
instead each morning when I wake
it starts all over again
and I spend all day tryin to forget you
just wishing this would end

wow, best i've read all day. i would love to hear that on the radio sometime! great song, fantastically written, so many can relate.
