the last thing i said to you was "bye"

you looked so sick!
why didnt i know?
you never were like that!

why did you have to leave?
this year I will be seventeen
you didnt even stay til i was 16,
you wont see me gradute
you wont see me get married
or see my children
why?

Such a beautiful relationship you had with your Grandpa! So many people don't even KNOW their grandparents or consider them at all! Your love for him shines through every word!
Great write--keep it up! Never forget your Grandfather's love!

| I also lost my grandpa but it has been almost 4 years. It was harder for me b/c i wasn't able to say goodbye, i love you or anything. What helps me is knowing that he is looking down on me from up above and going to his grave site. Wish i could say it gets easier but all i can tell you is that you learn to deal w/the pain. Like you my grandpa will not be in person to see me get married or hold his great grandchildren. Hold onto the memories that you have. Wonderfully written and i can feel your pain for i have been there |
