We cry because
We miss you,
And we hurt
Cause we love you so,
We find it hard to forget
The day you had to go.
We remember your warm smile
And when we dream we see your face
And the way you helped with our problems
With an open heart and a world of grace.
You gave us a fire to keep warm
And a roof over our head,
And even though there wasn't enough
You always had a spare bed.
You carried the world on your shoulders
And never once complained
You never cared for material things
Or what there was to gain.
You said that riches were measured in love
Not what you have or how far you go,
Well Pop I have to tell you,
Your the richest man I know.

THIS IS A WELL WRITTEN POEM AND I HAVE TO TELL YOU IT SOUNDS ALOT LIKE MY OWN GRANDFATHER AND FATHER WHO HAVE PASSED ON THE FOND MEMORIES WILL NEVER PAS THEY WILL ALWAYS BE THERE TO LEAD GUIDE AND DIRECT YOU. IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 24 YEARS SINCE MY FATHER WENT TO BE WITH JESUS AND I CAN STILL HEAR HIS VOICE HE IS THERE IN EVERYTHING I DO . WE NEVER QUIT MISSING THEM BUT THEY ARE STILL ALIVE WITHIN US . THANKS FOR POSTING THIS POEM IT BROUGHT BACK ALOT OF MEMORIES THAT I TREASURE.

| I know this feeling for i have also lost my grandfather and reading this reminds me of him. Makes me miss him more than i already do. Sorry for your loss. Things get easier with time. Wonderful write. Keep writing it helps |

| this is beautiful. your grandfather sounds like a wonderful person. and your write was so powerful. i never knew my grandfather..but you made me feel what it's like to have known such a great person. this was well written and may he rest in peace. prayers and hugs to you. |
