I just want to break up
It just isn't working out
I feel like I'm trapped
And I want to get out.
I know that I've used
this excuse before.
I just want to be friends
nothing less, nothing more.
It's nothing that you did
It's nothing that you said
Things are just changing
like the thoughts in my head.
I won't regret
that we have been together
Some couples don't last
while others last forever.
I do love you
It just isn't working out
I feel as if I'm acting
or putting on a play.
What I do or say
is not how I really feel
I'm sorry that I have to say
our love is not real.
I would die inside
If we couldn't be friends
so my warmest wishes
to you I will send.
