Some people spend their lives
Chasing rainbows, so I'm told.
They chase them till the day they die,
But never find their pot of gold.
I've never been much for that,
To me, life has not been kind.
There seems no point in chasing,
No pot of gold to find.
There were no rainbows in my life,
Just a lonely, darkened shroud.
Till a gorgeous ray of sunshine,
Broke through the angery cloud.
Perfect there in every way,
In multicolored hue.
That ray of sunshine change my life,
That rainbow, it was you.
The clouds now all have vanished,
And warmth replaces cold.
I still won't be chasing rainbows,
For I've found my pot of gold.
