i want to remember you.
all of what i used to know -
i want to see your beautiful face just the
way it was when i left.
create you a hieroglyph and
carve it into my temples that praise
isis and the nile.
i want to clear my mind of the
letters that you send me -
dripping covetous in your
(newfound) desolate void.
you say youll never forgive or
come close to forgetting as long as
you live. i know that
youll get even, and sleep with
anyone like me -
an emotionless girl whos forgotten how to
speak in public and sweats at your
advances.
but you know, so very deep in yourself, that
i never slept with you.
(but we must have made love ten thousand times)
