Piece is before me sweet and calm
Roses around me bloom in earths palm
The sea is before me, the world unknown
Do I dare set forth away from whats shown
The grass is beneath me, the sun is mid sky
Yet among all I know I still lie
Melancholy is the fate I do not dare take
Sad is my soul for each smile is fake
Inspired day I sat disheartened and alone
Filled with despair and a frightful tone
Silenced to dreams of what might have been
My roses grow fond of the horizon unseen
Do I dare take the first step out my door
Or do I wish to clip my wings, never to soar
