Wanted to start off by saying sorry, never meant to hurt you in any way,
Now I cant stop thinking about you, every single second of the day,
Your my new obsession, the drug that I so desperately crave,
But you lack the bad side effects, that put others in the grave,
And somehow I think I know, that youre the one for me,
I cant find anyone closer to perfect, youve finally made me see,
And I want to be your everything, Im willing to risk it all,
But I want you there to catch me, if I happen to stumble and fall,
Ill give up every bad habit, throw away the religion that I adore,
It will take some time of course, but you keep me coming back for more,
I dont care what it takes now, Ill do anything to be what you need,
Re-awakened the spark, and these flames well continue to feed,
I can see us going all the way, somewhere down the line,
With the life we once dreamed of, a life just so sublime,
And I love everything you stand for, but wish I could be that strong,
Took a few falls on the path, and ended up doing some things wrong,
But I guess we live and learn, just as God had intended us to do,
Sometimes I have to wonder why, with the things that Ive been through,
But now that youre in my life, everything seems to be brighter,
The burdens I use to carry, well the load seems as if its lighter,
And I want you to have my children, teach them your love and wisdom,
To have them follow their dreams, and reach for a higher kingdom,
Together we can make it, no matter how difficult things may be,
I love you so much that I want to go ahead, and write our own history.

that's such a lovely poem, i love the 'our own history' idea... i feel i can relate to this poem as well. great write!
