I find myself back in the place I started
Hoping to change myself for you
Even though you plead it's something I shouldn't do
I defy you in hopes that you'll understand why I do this
Maybe you'll figure out how much I mean to you
Such that I wouldn't be caught dead in this mess
Unless it was at all closer to you
Mostly I think about what could have been
Better times when closely I'd follow you in
To hell or sin or wherever it begins
I'll follow you in
As long as it's closer to you
