Death in my mind

Contributed by Inevitable on Thursday, 6th April 2006 @ 11:16:20 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The world is bitter
and elusive in my mind
I walked a mile and a half
to breathe fresh air,
But it was as dead as I was

I fell through the tower,
and hit the ground bloody and torn
My eyes raw and streaked with red
Tears trickling down the sides
hoping to escape the anger frozen inside

He watches me sleep and smiles to himself
Yet it kills me to know I'm living this life
My death was not consumed by fear
more or less by the feeling of a numb suicide
But he caught me before I jumped
My arms outstretched, pain pulsating throughout my body

They weep for me
Faces shone cold like a sorrowed whisper
I couldn't wipe that off
it kept staring back at me
Perceived as truthful and intimate

Damn the bed we lay in
the arms that hold me back
I am awake at night
breathing our leftover lust, inhaling it's toxic scent
And I have become a sin....triggered by the passion in which I consume so vigorously

Intensive write. I could see what you were writing. I felt the pain within your words. Nicely written, but am sorry for the pain.

Raw emotions exposed here ... which is good. There is pain, sadness and depression as well but we feel helpless to help you.

If this 'rawness' is a real situation, please talk to your clergyman or someone close.

I care :)!

:)Sandy
