Flirting Pigeons

Contributed by chatabox on Saturday, 27th July 2002 @ 07:39:12 AM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

She landed, he landed, she turned her back
she certainly wasnt impressed
he cooed and wooed and bobbed up and down
he was obviously getting obsessed

She gave him a look as if to say
ok show me what it is that you do
you can have 2 minutes to impress me
or you go to the back of the queue.

His performance deserved an oscar
his wooing technique a delight
but with a look of contemp, she flicked her tail
then spread her wings and took flight

I wanted to give him a cuddle and say
that was a terrific display that you made
but as he flew off I heard him say
whats a pigeon got to do to get laid.

Observant and witty too........a dangerous combination. I wouldn`t want to get on your bad side. Luckily, your humor isn`t mean or nasty. I think you`d be great to be with at a campfire or on a long drive.
Great work Penny

I too liked it, I wached a scene like that in one of my many drift-off's...It reminds me of school, believe it or not.
