In Silence, I endure

There is a pricking pain deep inside
Haunting me day and night
Not able to eat nor sleep
Mind in a fog of confusion
There is no concentration

Nothing gets done, work piling up
Like a zombie I roam
Doing things and not remembering
Listening and yet not grasping
Senses numbed, nothing seems right

Not even the beauty beholden
Awakens the spirit within
In vain I try to find the reason
In pain I languish, all a confusion
In silence I endure, no one to share
