Traipse falls upon the buttercups, I catch a glimpse of brazen rooks, Flocked beside the woodland trees, In forage through the fallen leaves,
Discordant calls warn that I'm hear, Poised to hasten in their fear, Drawing near the rooks they fly, Too rookery in treetops high,
I spy a leafy crystal course, That flows unto a waterfall, Upon the log that snags it's ebb, I tightrope walk with trembled legs,
Beyond divide a grazing beast, She lumbers in the summers heat, Mooing calf disturbs in need, Of mothers milk to gently feed,
Floating by the lazy sheep, Gorge upon the hay in heap, In minute dreamy minds consumed, I ponder on their every move,
Buttercups below each tread, Invite to rest my tired head, As I embrace the wondrous views, Of distant sky in summer hues,
I watch the clouds drift away, And all is calm here as I lay, Amidst buttercups I feel alive, I close my eyes then softly sigh,
The silence eases weary mind, In natures hands I second time, No restraints just inner peace, And then I close my eyes to sleep,
