Good morning, fair Sun, I have antcipated this second in painfully stretched hours, Since you abandoned me with the sorrowful moon, Reflecting itself in my waiting eyes.
Although I tried, Blue orbs were unwilling to be blinked away, And the only orbs that fell from dissatisfied eyes, Dripped in liquid crystal down a waiting face.
But now you've come to me, And it is my hope that you will never again desert my soul, Where my eyes close sleeplessly with ecstasy in you presence, Embracing warmly a waiting heart.
Alas, fair Sun, Your rays come coldly with reluctant despursal of fading color, As a lunar shadow teases my smile into a frown, And I only hope it doesn't offend you.

I like this poem a lot. It expresses the loneliness that is often felt when a family member leaves their parent alone when he or she has reached an elderly age. I hope things work out between the two of you. |
