There's an awful experiment we never finished I was the variable, manipulated You were my constant, never changed You've always been so predictable in your volatility These cruel games weren't meant for us to play However, I'm used to giving in So I'll do it anyway Experiments always lead to sh*t Did you get the right conclusions? Were you pleased with the results? Did the beating of our hearts line up with the insults? Sometimes I wish I could throw you away But it's still the same: Our eyes dance, You'll plead for one last kiss in the rain The phone dies, I wait for the next chance And I'll hope to god the tears don't stain
