A tender night spent in your arms
Was all that I had needed
Now I know that you're the one
That had me so bewildered
There was thruth in every word you spoke
You said it all with so much meaning
With every word you silently whispered
I felt what you were feeling
I never felt more comfortable
As what I did in your embrace
I gazed at you through the moonlight
And saw the same look upon your face
As I watched you while you were sleeping
A sudden thought came to mind-
We've known one another since childhood
How could we have been so blind?
You showered me with compassion
When I felt all alone inside
I never opened up like that before
But from you I could not hide
You were so intoxicating
You took my breath away
There was an air of beauty to it
What more is there to say?
So now my dear, all we can do
Is play this game and wait
Patience is a virtue-
Let's see if this is Fate.

I love this!!! It brought home to me the fact that my husband of 27 years and I have known each other forever......
He always talks about when we used to hold hands while going to preschool....
