I see the sky
a bright blue hue.
The sun and the
warmth it gives off
reminds me of you.
Rain falls
down
in sheets of glory.
Exuberant exaltations
while dancing through
puddles in the morning.
Blow those dark clouds away. . .
Dream of tomorrow
Hold on to today
Remember yesterday
Live for now
Skipping about
my hand in my front left pocket
around a folded sheet of paper
with the lines, straight and pale
blue like the sky.
The paper like your teacher gave
you in school.
Kicking up water and catching
rain drops like tears let go
while thinking of you.
Your so sweet like a piece of
hard candy slowly melting in
my mouth.
I pull out the paper.
Read it once more
and I feel warmth
in the words as if
you are holding my hand
and I know you are with me today. . .
