common things

never dreamt of wealth or gold,
nor diamond rings behold,
common I admire
sit and enjoy a nice warm fire
fulfills my desire

my clothes line gives me a thrill
being able to reach up high--still
I even have clothes to hang up,
watching a tulip pop up,
miracles instill.

cuddle--book and I..........
satisfaction with a sigh.
kisses from Piedy bird
my heart fluttered
sadness smothered

meadowlark song aloud
promises kept as vowed
puppy kisses on my cheek
endearing love, unique
simple soup from a leek

common things
mother goose's younglings
sunrise dependable light
sunset a hug goodnight
walk upright

a kindness done
a friend is won
to see, to hear, to feel
know real and unreal
dream surreal

positive thoughts
negative boycotts
love and live fully
brave--stop a bully
control n'er angry

hollyhock, bumblebee
smell dripping coffee
garlic bread toast
trite for most
me to boast

ConSue, this is a sweet reminder of the simple things in life we tend to take for granted. I could see, smell, taste and feel every part of this lovely work. The simple things are truly the best.
