God Isn't Boring

Contributed by sillysal on Thursday, 20th April 2006 @ 10:51:53 AM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

God wakes me in the morning
with a: "Get up sleepy head.
You can't enjoy life staying abed."
God is all things ... but boring.
Not a flash in the pan ...
the Creator of man.
God is all things ... but boring.
Jackrabbit ears, dinosaurs,
belly laughs and heavy snores.

Sometimes His lightning jettisons
and we hear His mighty voice
(most don't have a choice).
God is all things ... but boring.
Hi gifts thrill everyone
from the dust to the sun.
God is all things ... but boring.
There are weird, laughable sounds
and for the eyes ... feasts abounds.

God nourishes my spirit--
a wealth of food surrounds us
(not many have a surplus).
God is all things ... but boring.
Oxygen, air to breathe,
funny (isn't it) ... our sneeze?
God is all things ... but boring.
Seems most things have odor, taste;
all things 'usable' ... men 'waste'.

God tucks me in ev'ry night ...
snuggle, nest, in His embrace
so beloved by His grace.
God is all things ... but boring.
Heaven's for living later ...
see you there alligator.
God is all things ... but boring.
Feel His touch in gentle rain.
Seldom is weather still, plain.

God is all things ... but boring.

What delightful read! Great rhyme and flow.
All one has to do is take a good look at the creation and it is obvious that God is not boring. There is humor in creation.

Excellent poem!
