Colour

Contributed by Icequeen on Monday, 3rd February 2003 @ 04:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

In everyday, in everyway: colour.
Muted, vibrant, calm or violent: colour.
In what we say, in what we do: colour.
In how I see me, and how I see you: colour.
In our emotions, and our feelings: colour.
Pale or loud, humble or proud: colour.
I find in all ways, in everyday: colour.

So I find, when you paint me black and blue
Its the colour that matters, not what you do.
But I only want to ask this, will you soon paint me red?
And then youre beatings will leave me dead,
I would be devoid of colour, left grey without life,
And then I would blame you: colour.

But of course, you tell me you love me,
And perhaps I believe you, but that does
Not mean that I have to love you in return,
And I dont: my life and my heart are too full of: colour.
But that does not mean, that I do not burn,
As I do, but you burn without colour, and I
Could never leave my opposite.

2003 Amy Pluess
