All my friends beleave
every single word I say
they all think I'm happy
and everythings ok
but in the truth these lies
have captivated pain
and it takes all that I can do
so I don't go insane
so far I haven't acted
on the thoughts inside my head
but I know it won't be long
beforeI wind up dead.

only too true. sounded like a shortened version like my 'untitled', the concept was the same at least. you said a lot in just a few lines, great write.

| I hear in this poem a cry for help. You've taken the first step to your healing by realizing that you have a problem, and writing about it. It's not good to keep such things inside, and letting them out, is a healing step. I wish you much luck in your recovery. |
