night with my vampire

Contributed by dantoad on Monday, 3rd February 2003 @ 11:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

october moon please come for me
steal this stone of jealousy
for you alone i long to see
and sit here waiting patiently

we'll float away on halloween
over fields of an empty green
we could be an inseparable team
in my dark, forbidden dream

rooftops glitter with your diamond light
whisk me away into the night
take me fast and i won't fight
the bittersweet taste of us in flight

above sleeping townsfolk we can roam
my warm blood welcomes its new home
forever captivated in this poem
splattered lightly with sea and foam

the rough bark stings my bare skin
my lust arises from within
i taste your radioactive grin
chilled since clothes are paper thin

with anyone else i couldn't be there
your fingers play with my blonde hair
this moment we forever share
only you for whom i care

one more whisper, quick kiss goodbye
then you disappear into the sky
with you i feed off of the high
my one last wish, a tear that's dry
