Why cant I sleep?
Why do I dream?
When I see your face
Why do my insides scream?
My heat is broke
It can love no more
But when you look at me
This heart of stone gets sore
I tried to let you go
I tried to run away
But then you came back
And patched my heart that day
With words so kind
And emotions so pure
You took this fragile illness
And gave it the proper cure
As days went by
And hours wasted
Comfort surrounded me
This passion that I tasted
Endless talks
With constant glees
Shameful word fights
Ending with hugging sprees
I felt safe
You never altered
I gave in
This feeling never faltered
You held me close
And held my hand
You always cuddled
And made my spirit stand
But I grew too close
And you never replied
You held some secretes
And I sometimes cried
And then I knew
That we were not meant to be
Because our dear friendship
Was all that we could see
