Small talk and tea for two

[v1]
some girls want a diamond ring
or a shiny brand new car
some girls want a beautiful house
some just want it all

me all I'm lookin for is simple
somethin pure and true
all I'm lookin for is love
small talk and tea for two

[chorus]
i just want a simple kinda life
don't need no glitz or glam
shoppin malls n gossip just ain't for me
ill take a campfire n some music any day

'cause money cant buy happiness
despite popular belief
you know its true what they all say
the best things in life are free

[v2]
now you could look in every store on earth
but you're never gonna find
the two things that I'm lookin for
true love and piece of mind

you cant measure the worth of freedom
or put a price on life
don't matter how hard you look
theres some things that money cant buy

[chorus]
i just want a simple kinda life
don't need no glitz or glam
shoppin malls n gossip just ain't for me
ill take a campfire n some music any day

'cause money cant buy happiness
despite popular belief
you know its true what they all say
the best things in life are free

[bridge]
do you stop and smell the roses?
would you give a second thought?
to the things we take for granted
the things that cant be bought

do you pause to hear the birds sing?
or look your lover in the eyes?
do you savor the smell of the fallin rain?
or watch the stars up in the sky?

(break)

some girls want a diamond ring
or a shiny brand new car
some girls want a beautiful house
some just want it all

me all I'm lookin for is simple
somethin pure and true
all i really want is love
small talk and tea for two
