Looking up to the sky I can feel myself slipping away With every breath of the wind As it passes over me And engulfes me in its warm embrace.
It's this freedom that I have Always yearned for And can't wait to see What happens next somewhere Down the road.
As I lay down and watch the clouds Strange shapes flow through my mind And I am forced to look at myself from above To see just how I came to be here.
The mystery alone was always worth it To be able to breathe a sigh of relief Upon the Earth and gaze upon What I have created.
My other self watches over me from above Making sure that nothing terrible happens to me. It is from this comfort that I am able To enjoy the rest of the life I have yet to live.
A soft feather falls from the sky And to my wonderment Glided right over to me, Resting on my forehead.
I held it in my hands And looked upon it, Studying it.
This one feather was the most Beautiful object I had ever come across. Gleaming white with not a touch of filth, This truly was a sign.
If only I could discover what world Awaited me up there in the sky Far beyond my reach But not out of sight.
I gaze up to the sky, Looking for signs of life, And am amazed everytime, When the impossible happens.
