This has gone on for long enough.
You're always expecting
so much from me,
but I just can't take it anymore.
It's always, "Do this, please, you can do it
much better than I can,"
or, "You could do this so much better
if you just put your mind to it."
I know I can do it better,
but you have to let me do it
in my own time.
If you keep pushing me,
when I do it it'll just be worse
than it should be,
and then you'll be on me again
like wildfire.
It will never end
unless someone breaks the cycle,
and that someone
is going to be me.
No more nagging,
no more forcing.
It's just going to be
me doing what I have to do
at the best of my ability
in the amount of time
that I need.
Nothing more,
nothing less.
And that's the way
it's going to be.
