I am walking, My feet slap the ground And make the pavement ring. A man gets out of his car, I look away To hide the tears turning to hail on my cheeks.
I am waiting, Roots of cold grow into my fingers And red flowers blossom on my hands. The man goes into his house, Leaves me alone In the darkness of the world at night.
I am smiling, It is better to be truly alone Than to be alone and surrounded by people. Silence is heavy in my ears The moon smiles too, It is caressed by a hand of smoke.
I am listening, For the voice in my head To tell me who I am and what I'm doing. Why I am lonelier than the moon I hear, thump thump thump thump thump
