Peace I Pray

Contributed by onceandagain on Friday, 5th May 2006 @ 07:46:03 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

I don't like this feeling inside,
I wish I could just run and hide.
My heart pounds, I can't breathe,
How I wish this feeling would leave.
My head throbs, my chest is tight,
This is a feeling I can't fight.
I want to curl into a ball and cry,
In a dark corner I want to hide.
So much anxiety, stress and depression,
I feel like my life is in a recession.
Heavy breathing, deeply sighing,
It's as though my insides are dying.
I am surrounded by so much love,
From my family and God above.
I don't understand why I feel this way,
And no medication makes it go away.
I just want to be happy and stress free,
I pray my Heavenly Father answers my plea.
And removes my burden and frees my soul,
Makes me complete, happy and whole.
This to you, Heavenly Father I pray,
That your peace within me always will stay.

This is a great poem. I am going through the exact same thing I am. Only you haven't given up. You haven't alienated yourself from sources of support. I admire you
