Rapid little sounds of rain
draw attention from the pain
that I've felt for so long
where did things go so wrong?
I don't know why I kept my feelings inside
Not even in you could I confide.
Everyday I search for the reasons why
I just sat back and watched you cry
I know our past wasn't always that great
but all I ask is don't wipe the slate
Try to remember the times that were bright
and know that through you, my heart takes flight
