From within my core
My core that ticks
Moment by moment
Craving for your touch
And the joy that swells
From this untamed desire.
Your words could cut glass
And tears stream down my face
Ive heard the truth
The lies dissipate
All hope is trampled
Beneath your tangled web
For the anger that swells
And bursts this untamed desire.
Your words could cut glass
So could my anger too
My fault is reflected
Within the pools of blood and tears
Glimmering from the inserted perfection
That I dreamed of for years
The truth is that you are human
I can expect no more.
Your words could cut glass
And I deserve much better than this
I want to pretend to be her
And receive your love
In this little charade
But it is not where we live
I escape from your clutches
With the wounds of war.
