A poem to remember
A love we said was true
My thoughts are all still muddled
But I think I still love you
I wish that we could tie love
And bind it up with chains
Toss it roughly outside
Let it rust sadly in the rain
Bury it in the garden
With all its pity and empathy
Let it rot and decompose
But I realize Im too weak
Without you theres no sun
No rain and no sound
I can not dig into to the earth
For I can not find the ground
Ive realized that I need you
And I want to come back
So every time you feel like crying
I will try and make you laugh
And Ill bind our love with flowers
Lay it soft and deep
In a bed of clovers
To gently let it sleep
So we can go on living
In the love we always had
And I hope you will forget
The time I made you really sad
I'm sorry that I made you cry
And that I broke your heart
I want to take the words away
And throw them to the dark
And I hope you're sill forgiving
I want to start brand new
I want to hold you close again
My darling, I love you.
