Anything To Do With You

Contributed by Drapes on Sunday, 14th May 2006 @ 09:12:58 PM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

I want to climb that tree
And make it to the top.
I want to climb that tree
Again and again,
Because it was you
Who inspired me
To hang on
To that first branch.

I want to lay in the church yard
On the moist, fresh ground
And see how you felt
In that exact spot.

I want to walk down Pinecrest
In the rain,
Jump over puddles,
And watch you kick wet weeds,
Because that's just how it is.

I want to run across,
While our light is red,
And dodge the oncoming cars
Because we did it before,
While everyone else
Waited for the green light.

I want to sit on your livingroom floor,
My pants soaked from the walk,
And play cards with you.
We cheat, we yell, and go crazy over flimsy paper,
But we always laugh anyway.

I want to play that song
Over and over again,
Until my fingers are numb
Because you taught me
How to play it.

I want to find the silverware,
Make myself a snack,
And wash the dishes
Because it makes me feel at home.

I want to lay on your pillow
And suffocate myself
With the scent of your shampoo,
Because it's the next best thing
To laying with you.

I want to freeze time
When I'm with you.
I want there to be
No yesterday,
No tomorrow,
Just a today,
Just a right now.

I want the best day of my life
To come everyday,
And you're the only one
That can make that happen.

I want to spend forever with you
Because I need you in my life.

But most of all,
I want so bad
To just tell you
That I am completely and truly
In love with you.
