A Mother

Contributed by Drapes on Monday, 15th May 2006 @ 07:43:58 PM in AEST
Topic: MothersDayPoems

What is a Mother?
Only a daughter could know
That she works the magic
And makes the stars glow.

She mends every shirt
That got ripped climbing trees.
She washes every pair of pants
With grass stained knees.

She cooks every meal,
Weekdays and weekends.
And even makes snacks
For the out of control friends.

She cuts up fruit
And sends it for lunch.
She packs extra snakcs
For an afternoon munch.

Eyes are rolled
When she gives advice.
But without it we're stuck,
So we don't think twice.

From good days to bad,
From joy to fear,
A Mother's the one
That will always be there.

Through thick and thin,
Far and near,
A Mothers love
Will never disappear.

I love you, Mom!
Happy Mothers Day!

Very heartfelt poem. Sounds like you have a very good relationship with your mother and you are blessed and so is she. Enjoyed it.

oh Drapes, this poem is exquisite!!!
How happy your mom must have been
when you presented!
Especially the ending........"I love you Mom!"
those words are worth more to her than a million dollars!
You have lots and lots and talent, and since I've just met you, Drapes, please let me welcome you to the crew of YPDC.
I hope we see alot more of you!
Warm love
consue
