So this is it
Im letting go
Done pretending
The show is over
You can all go home
Maybe if I did this
Years and years ago
Id be ready to stand
On my own two feet
But the past is past
Im struggling to find
Some kind of peace of mind
But Im still caught up
In all of hatreds veneer
Its harder than I thought
So pretending aside
This so isnt me
Im sorry I lied
But lying aside
This isnt the truth
Lies take over
Making this life
Truth run and hides
Forsaking my mind
Its really my fault
I let it take control
Without ever trying
To take it back
Or question why
This point of view sucks
But I cant blame anyone
Anyone but myself
For this mess Im in
Sorry I tried to shift the blame
Its time for the truth to rein

I felt this poem shows a part of life we offten chose not to see, It is good and no disrespest to your poem, it could have a little more strenth to it.
