Forsaken puppet

Topic: SongLyrics

He never anticipated the sharp turn
level head but still couldnt stop it
suckered in by the one he onced trusted
brought down to where he was nothing

still he walks with his head a little higher
fights for his way back to a some normality
finds different ways to defy her
something gotta to give and get him out of this

he contemplates all of his options
calculates the pain of the consiquence
he just smiles cause hes pulled it off again

She calls for him again
tells him that she needs a favor
do her dirty work
you are just a slave
never be nothing more
then a forsaken puppet

she comes to him the night so cold and dark
tells him what is to done
danger does he know what hes getting into
to take a mans life is a road not to be taken

he takes the deed in a nod
picks up the 38 and his overcoat
walks down the street so silently
and he finds the house of the soon to be dead

creeps up through the yard so softly
as if to be unseen
a breeze hits him awkwardly
his hands so soiled they cant be cleaned

She calls for him again
tells him that she needs a favor
do her dirty work
you are just a slave
never be nothing more
then a forsaken puppet

crawls through a back window
with his 38 hes grasping
feels the lump grow larger in his throat
in all his stealth he walks down the hall

with his elbow hes bumps a picture
pulls it up closer to his face
see's the man with his two kids on his lap
wonders what hes doing this cant be rite

he turns and walks away
to feel a bullet pierce his back
the man shot an intruder in his home
in protection for his family and himself

he struggles for another breath
wonders is this what he gets for turning away
or is this what I get for playing the game

She calls for him again
tells him that she needs a favor
do her dirty work
you are just a slave
never be nothing more
then a forsaken puppet
Your just a forsaken puppet

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
