I held you in my arms 3 years ago, I wonder what you'd say, If you were to know, That I was your Father,
When you were born, A smile washed away my sadness, I now feel torn, Every time I see your mum, I feel a sense of awkwardness.
When I dream, I see your face, Tears well up in my eyes, The day you were born, Was the day I said my goodbyes.
Your mum didn't want me to stay, I don't love you anymore' is what she said, I didn't know what to say, Cos of her, my inner soul is what I shred.
I offered support for you, Please believe me son, That's all I could do, But sadly the damage has already been done.
I bet you don't know of my existence, If I had the chance, I would travel the distance, Just so that I can hold you in my arms again, Cos not seeing you, well it's driving me insane.
I'm just going to say, That thinking of you, Makes me feel ever so blue, But at the end of the day, Your my son, and I will always love you.

Well sir, that was a very beautiful write, i felt your emotions as I read. See FATHERS do care about their children even though they may not be able to be with them. May God answer your prays and allow you to be with your son.
